After more than a decade of walking through front doors, meeting homeowners, and preparing properties for market, I’ve seen it all—or so I like to think! Listing appointments have given me a unique window into not just houses, but the people and stories behind them.

Patterns That Emerge
Every home is different, yet certain themes repeat. Some sellers are calm and organized, others are anxious and overwhelmed. I’ve learned that the most successful sales often come from those who are open to advice and willing to put in a little extra effort. Cleanliness and curb appeal? They matter more than you might think!

Memorable Moments
There are always surprises—a hidden reading nook, a meticulously tended rose garden, or even the occasional pet snake in a terrarium. Each appointment brings something new, reminding me that every home has its own personality.

Advice for Sellers
If I could offer one piece of advice: listen to your agent’s recommendations. Small changes can make a big difference. Declutter, depersonalize, and let buyers imagine their own lives unfolding in your space. And remember, honesty about your home’s condition builds trust and smooths out the process for everyone.
